A New Humboldt County CA Real Estate Photo that Fits My Personality. A Change is Good!
Yesterday I uploaded a more candid (and, yes updated) photo of myself. I figured it was time for a change, since I’m in the process of growing my hair out.
But I also made a change, because although I had a very professional photo done by some great photographer friends of mine, I constantly got comments from folks saying, “That’s really you? Wow…you look so different in person.”
Don’t get me wrong…My friends are fabulous photographers, but sometimes when you get true headshots, add all that makeup and take off your personality glasses, you no longer look like YOU.
Not that any of those comments were bad. They were actually great conversation starters. However, I wanted people to look at my photo and know that if they saw me on the street, they could recognize me.
Plus I live in a community(Humboldt County) that is more laid back. You can’t dress like a slob out here to be respected as a professional agent, but you actually stand out like a sore thumb if you wear a suit. Business casual is usually ok. And since Humboldt is known for its great outdoors, it’s not uncommon to see professional business card photos with a beautiful green backdrop.
